Rui Pedrosa, the new president , will take office on May 15th

On May 15th, at School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic of Leiria (ESTG) Rui Pedrosa, will take over the presidency of the Polytechnic of Leiria, from 3:00 p.m., in auditorium 1. The inauguration ceremony, will be held by Pedro Lourtie, president of the General Council of the Polytechnic of Leiria, and includes statements by Nuno Mangas, outgoing president, and Rui Pedrosa, the elected president . Short Portrait: Rui Pedrosa holds a PhD in Human Biology and is a lead researcher at the Center for Marine and Environmental Sciences (MARE-IPLeiria). Graduated in Biochemistry and Master in Cell Biology, the new president of the Polytechnic of Leiria was, since 2014, vice-president of the institution in the last term of Nuno Mangas, for the area of research and innovation. Rui Pedrosa, besides the coordination of several internationalization projects and science communication, is also an adjunct professor at the School of Tourism and Maritime Technology and has a large experience in management fields at the Polytechnic of Leiria.
