Urban farms – myth or reality?
Synopsis – Urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA) includes trees managed for fruit and fuelwood production, apart from contributing to urban design, welfare enhancement and biodiversity. Integrated and managed with crops (agroforestry) and small-scale aquaculture, UPA can also be an important contribution to household food security.
An intertwined interplay of scientific areas, from arts and design to engineering and environment, socioeconomics and health.

Com entrada livre e gratuita, as sessões têm lugar na última 6.ª feira de cada mês. O novo ciclo de tertúlias “Research Units Round” irá decorrer entre abril de 2019 e março de 2020.
Após cada sessão, os participantes são convidados para o beberete informal ao qual se segue um jantar convívio que carece de inscrição prévia, através do email brightfridays@ipleiria.pt.
