Polytechnic of Leiria strengths academic partnership with  Dominican Republic

 

On June 13, the Polytechnic of Leiria received a group of representatives from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), led by the General Director of Cooperation and National and International Relations, Jorge Asjana David. The delegation visited School of Technology and Management (ESTG), School of Arts and Design (ESAD.CR) and Central Services of the Polytechnic of Leiria.

The objective is to develop and deepen the existing relationships between these institutions in the areas of Education and Social Sciences, Engineering and Technologies, Management, Arts and Design and Tourism. Under the cooperation agreement established with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) four students from the Dominican Republic (two from the UASD), are attending masters degrees in Communication and Media and  International Business, and new students are expected to enroll next year. 

The 100-year-old Autonomous University of Santo Domingo is the only state university in the Dominican Republic. Located in the capital, it is present in 18 of the 31 provinces of the country.
