European Student Assembly 2025 (applications open until December, 1st)

A European Student Assembly (#ESA25) is back, inviting young voices to discuss the future of Europe.
From May 26 to 28, 2025, Strasbourg will host this dynamic event, bringing together students from the European Universities Alliances. This fourth edition will welcome a new generation of participants from these alliances.

Participants will debate and develop policy recommendations on eight key topics about Europe’s future. The project will span several months and culminate in a deliberative assembly at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, with dissemination events to follow in the weeks after.

The #ESA25 is an essential platform for students to engage in discussions on critical European issues actively.

It is an opportunity for young representatives of the RUN-EU, of which the Polytechnic University of Leiria is a member, to be at the forefront of dialogue, drafting policy recommendations and advocating for change.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to students of all nationalities, fields, and levels of study, from the second year of a Bachelor’s degree to a Doctorate.

• Students who have never participated in the ESA can apply as participants and/or panel coordinators.
• Students who participated in the first, second, or third editions of the ESA as participants can only apply as panel coordinators.
• Students who participated in the first, second, or third editions of the ESA as panel coordinators are no longer eligible to apply.
• Lectures are not eligible, except if they are PhD candidates.

The ESA is one of the main activities of the European Universities Community Voices, a project started by students from European Universities Alliances that aims to give a voice to all European students at the Conference on the Future of Europe.

The RUN-EU European University, co-led by the Polytechnic University of Leiria, continues to empower students and amplify their voices, eagerly anticipating their participation in shaping a more inclusive and promising Europe for future generations.
