Ana Lúcia Marto Sargento
Ana Sargento is vice-president of Politécnico de Leiria for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Society Engagement since 2018. She is also Director of the Centre for Knowledge Sharing and Valorisation (CPVC).
She holds a PhD in Economics, specialization in Regional Planning and Development (University of Coimbra, 2009) and a master’s degree in Applied Economics (University of Coimbra, 2002).
From 2018 until 2019, Ana coordinated the Centre of Applied Research in Management and Economics (CARME), where she is currently an integrated member. From 1998 until 2018, she was Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Economics (School of Technology and Management).
In the last 10 years, Ana Sargento has participated in nine R&D projects. She is co-author of 2 books, 3 books chapters, 9 peer-reviewed articles and 22 national and international conference articles. She is also a regular speaker in research and innovation forums about regional and local development, healthcare economics and management.
