Ofélia 11

Starting in 2009, Festival Ofélia is a theatre and performing arts festival from ESAD.CR. It returns to our community for it’s 11th edition that will take place between the 4th and 7th of April.

Theatre is what moves us, and the 2nd year students of the Theatre major come, once again, to implement this event due to the simple and complex need to create beyond the parameters of the curriculum.

In addition to highlighting our art, the work that is produced in the course and the pride we have in making theater in Portugal, we also want to promote the exchange of knowledge and ideas between courses similar to ours, from schools across our country.

We face difficult times, in the world, in the country, and in ourselves. In Art, we find a way to express our fears and uncertainties, some that might remain for the rest of our lives. We seek to communicate and share with the community of Caldas da Rainha part of what we are doing everyday, in the city. We want to help bring the human contact that we have given up in recent times, back again.
