Master’s in Product Design
This series of lessons explores the transformative role of design in addressing contemporary challenges through three themes: Space, Reflection, and Developing the Future.
The projects presented by the second-year students of the Master’s in Product Design offer innovative and sustainable solutions that encourage speculation and inclusion, value the permanence of materials, and challenge stereotypes. Each lesson reflects a commitment to the social and environmental impact of design, proposing objects and interventions that foster dialogue.
Throughout the sessions, discussions will focus on how design can contribute to a more conscious, equitable, and sustainable society, creating connections between people, materials, and environments.

Architectural harmony reflected in objects, the affective dimension established by users with objects, and sustainability applied to furniture constitute three distinct yet interconnected fields of analysis. They converge in the need for an in-depth understanding of the user, particularly at the emotional level. Thus, these lessons propose to discuss the following themes and their most relevant aspects, unified by the influence of emotional design. Furniture and sustainability, the relationship between people and objects, and the expressions of modernism in interior and architectural design are three analytical perspectives that, when brought together, allow us to understand the plurality of influences shaping the field of contemporary design.
