From Manifesto to Protest

What themes are essential for design — as a transformative agent of reality — to have a positive impact on the world and on the construction of the society it inhabits? Which personal qualities play a key role in maintaining an ethical and professional stance as designers facing the challenges of contemporary society? What can and should change in our attitude?
Reflecting on these questions, students were challenged to engage in a critical analysis — an exercise that culminated in the creation of manifestos and protest posters, asserting the urgency of their visions for a meaningful and conscious transformation of society through design practice.
