Shaping the Media: Anthropotechnics and Resurgences
3rd year Graphic and Multimedia Design students
EXHIBITION
DECEMBER 19TH OF 2025, 11AM TO 6PM
ROOM 35 OF EP1 – ESAD.CR
This exhibition presents mix media projects developed by third-year students of Graphic and Multimedia Design, within the scope of the Media Theory course, based on two conceptual proposals.
Proposal A, inspired by the archaeology of media, invites viewers to look at media across a deep time, revealing how media — past, present, or future — transform the way we inhabit the world, reactivating forgotten experiences and turning obsolescence into creative potential.
Proposal B focuses on anthropotechnics, articulating the reflections of Vilém Flusser (Czech-Brazilian, 1920–1991), for whom technical codes program choices and shape perceptions, and Peter Sloterdijk (German, 1947–), who understands technology not merely as a tool, but as a formative practice that structures habits, modes of attention, and ways of existing in the world.
The mix media works invite visitors to explore layers of memory, navigate the present, and envision new ways of seeing, feeling, and creating — reminding us that, as we shape media, they also shape us.
