Caldas Film Fest – 3rd edition

Open call

The Open Call for the 3rd edition of the Caldas Film Fest is officially open!
Caldas da Rainha Film Festival returns in September! We want to continue celebrating Portuguese cinema while also opening our doors to international cinema with a new category.
Once again, we aim to create an open space, away from major urban centers, where filmmakers—of any age or background—can showcase their films, exchange ideas, and experiment with new ways of exhibiting and watching cinema.
Caldas Film Fest continues to forgo film competitions and awards, focusing instead on non-commercial programming in alternative spaces with strong local community participation.
Submissions are open to any film—including those by students and newcomers taking their very first steps.
