Daniel Barroca (Lisbon, 1976)
Studied Visual arts at ESAD.CR between 1996 and 2001. Was a Resident artist at Künstlerhaus Bethanien in 2008, received the schoolarship João Hogan, given by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, in 2010-2011.
Between 2013-2014 Barroca participated at Home Works Program no Ashkal Alwan in Beirute. He also participated at the Open Sessions, Drawing Center in New York. Between 2014 and 2015 was a fellow at Botín Foundation. Barroca has exhibited his work at Hunter College Art Galleries, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, EDP Foundation, MACE, Hangar, DeLaCharge, Fundação Botin, NCCA, CIAJG, Museu de Serralves, among others.
