Batida Project
The project BATIDA, a partnership between MPG and ESAD.CR, happened between March and June of 2022 with its main goal being allowing the 2nd year students of the Industrial Design degree to experience the development of projects in direct collaboration with the industry context. MPG, a company specialized in making office furniture, challenged Professor Miguel Vieira Baptista, who kept up with the projects developed by the students throughout the semester.
The result was a very coherent ensemble of furniture and accessories, both office and domestic. Based on this ensemble, 4 projects were selected by the jury to be awarded, the winners highlighted by its project quality, as well as its market adequacy.
On November 18th happened the first student ceremony awarding Alexandre Calçada, Bianca Boker, Joana Marques e Pedro Afonso in the MPG premises, with the presence of the general director João Guerreiro and commercial director Pedro Nunes.
