Type Workshop

The Type Workshop project aims to create a workshop destined to produce wood types contributing to equip a mobile character printing office in ESAD.CR, for the experimental development of new educational practices.

It is intended to study, restore and adapt old mobile characters manufacture, in wood, for academic reproduction, through analogic (pantograph) and digital (CNC) means, of display types created in the academy or identified in private collections, to be studied and preserved.

It can be observed, in the pictures, the first kinds of wood produced through CNC and pantograph, as well as trial printing with those same characters.
