The artistic residency of the Social Arts Practices students at the Hospital and Caldas Museum starts with the research of the material and immaterial heritage of the museum, followed by fieldwork, for the exploration of several aspects of the construction of the collaborative work. The last moment will be for sharing the processes, objects and conclusions of the residency period in an exhibition.

Since 2019 chief curator of exhibitions at Kiasma – National Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, curator of the 12th International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Gothenburg GIBCA (2023), co-curator of the Baltic Triennial (2021) and the Lithuanian Pavilion at the 60th Venice Art Biennale (2024), João Laia will talk about his career as a curator and programmer. In an open class, which will seek to reflect on some debates in contemporary art.
