Leonor Noivo

We’re animals, we need retreats.

ARTIST RESIDENCIES OF THE MASTER IN ARTS OF SOUND AND IMAGE_ESAD. CR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OSSO CULTURAL ASSOCIATION
may 2nd to 6th, 2023
OSSO Facilities, in the village of S. Gregório, Caldas da Rainha

Based on the idea of a “new cycle”, we set out for an immersion in a universe far from our daily lives. We set out to dive temporarily into ourselves, into each one, into the place of suspension that we will create collectively in the OSSO space.
Exploring the idea of retreat, each one will elaborate, from their past baggage / experience and the experimentation with materials in these days (writing, research, references, moving image) and at the intersection with the physical mapping where one stands, a biographical narrative inserted in the space here circumscribed and around. A movement simultaneously facing the interior of each one and the exterior of what surrounds us, which will allow us during the days of the laboratory to create experimental objects, of short duration, which we will share at the end of the residence.
