WORKSHOP
JUNE 11TH OF 2024, 9AM – 1PM
CERAMIC WORKSHOP ROOM 11 EP1 – ESAD.CR

Mono-printing on clay consists of using oxide or glaze paint and transferring the image to the surface of the clay, making it possible to create rich and distinct textures and graphics. This workshop aims to explore the transfer of photocopied images, or images printed from digital files, to the ceramic surface using the method of mono-printing on ceramic surfaces.
In a 4 hours, session, under the guidance of Prof Canan Salman, the potential of the mono printing technique will be explored through the composition of images and graphics printed on paper.

Canan Salman is a Turkish ceramist, currently working on a PhD program at Eskisehir Osmangazi University, on the subject of “Expression of Biophilic Design and Sustainability on Ceramic Forms and Surfaces Through The Seed Image”. Supported by Tübitak (The Scientific And Technological Research Council of Turkey) 2214-A International Research Fellowship Programme for PhD Students.
