Documentary synopsis
This visual biography delves into the life and creative process of Guido Guidi, a prominent name in contemporary photography, offering insights into his photographic philosophy and connecting the viewer to the secluded village near Cesena where the Italian photographer lives in. “Vivi Nascosto Guido Guidi” unfolds a narrative that explores Guidi’s photographic journey and personal memories through a blend of his images, personal reflections, conversations, and explorations of his extensive archiv.
Paulo Catrica (Lisboa, 1965).
He studied Photography at Ar.Co (Lisbon, 1985), obtained a Bachelor’s degree in History from Universidade Lusíada (Lisbon, 1992), an MA in Image and Communication from Goldsmiths’ College (London, 1997), and a PhD in Photography Studies from the School of Arts and Media / Westminster University (London 2011). Researcher at the Instituto de História Contemporânea na Universidade Nova de Lisboa, since 2014.
He has been exhibiting and publishing his photographic work regularly since 1997, and his work is represented in public and private collections in Portugal and abroad.
