Lecture with António Brito Guterres

António Brito Guterres, researcher in Urban Studies, has been carrying out interventions of social and cultural nature in a diversity of territorial realities within the context of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

Last year he created with Vhils the artwork “6 de Maio” in an exercise of uncovering prejudices regarding the diversity of stories that make up the city’s heritage, while also alerting to processes of urban transformation that are autocratic and with little public participation.

He is a member of the Dinâmia´Cet ISCTE–IUL, a research centre through which he participated in the Cultural Strategy of the City of Lisbon, and Senior Programme Officer for social intervention projects for the Aga Khan Foundation. He was a member of the URB team that produced a set of ficcional episodes on Lisbon’s periphery.

In this lecture, framed within the Cultural Programing and Production bachelor, he will talk about curating Iminente Talks, a programme of debates at Festival Iminente, based on current everyday discourse, bringing together various personalities in an exploration of themes that aimed to stimulate integration, equality and knowledge.

November 25th at 14h30 in Room 23 – EP2 – ESAD.CR.
