Sandra Leandro holds a PhD in Contemporary Art History from Universidade Nova de Lisboa with the thesis Joaquim de Vasconcelos (1849-1936) Historian, Art Critic and Museologist, 2008. Assistant Professor at the University of Évora and researcher at the Institute of Art History at Universidade Nova de Lisboa.  She has been specially dedicated to the study of Painting, Humoristic Drawing, Theory and Art Criticism, Museology, Women Artists, Sculpture, Cinema and Photography from the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century in Portugal. She received the Prize Grémio Literário for the year 2014.
