Sound and Image

Course Type: Undergraduate Programmes

Goals

The Undergraduate course in Sound and Image provides a theoretical, technical and artistic training in various audiovisual areas, while, simultaneously, developing critical and creative skills that enable the development of projects from scratch.
Throughout the curricular plan the students choose their own path by being able to choose from a broad training in several media or restrict their training to more specialized interests such as studies related to sound, cinema and video, photography or animation.

In the last semester, students can choose between a project-based work and an internship in one of the companies with which ESAD.CR has a partnership. The teaching staff is composed mainly of artists and professionals working in the area of cinema and audiovisual production, such as MONSTRA or DocLisboa.

The aim is for the students of sound and image to be capable (in theoretical, technical and artistic terms) to undertake their own projects, as well as to have the necessary skills to develop autonomous or team-based tasks with the necessary critical spirit and analytical requirements that allow them to carry out works of excellence.

This course has an ICA (Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture) grant.
