The TeSP course in Illustration and Graphic Production aims to train professionals in the area of creation and graphic production of communication material, through a specialization which is based on its multiple professional contexts. At the end of the course, the student will have acquired planning, conception and implementation skills in analogic and digital technologies. They will be able to define and monitor, both conceptually and technically, all the stages and creation processes as well as the graphic reproduction, according to the communication objectives and specific production for each project, in multiple formats and platforms. The versatility of job offers is confirmed by the multiple types of business contexts where the student will work: media companies (newspapers, magazines and animation) and communication, marketing and advertising, graphic production and digital printing companies, design and architecture offices, event production companies and companies for different editorial formats (such as children’s illustration, illustration for technical publications, scientific publications or for digital media). It is an expressive and technical specialization, structuring the professional contexts of contemporary communication, which occupies its own space, and is acknowledged in the field and in the educational offer of higher professional education in Portugal.
