Jo\u00e3o Tabarra (Lisbon, 1966), in this open class, explores the theme of memory in his work, including recent and unpublished works. This artist began exhibiting regularly in the late 1980s, having consolidated a career that includes his presence in relevant national and international exhibition projects, both individually and in groups. He is represented in prestigious institutional and private collections, making his works part of their collections in Portugal and abroad. He continues to develop and present his work alongside numerous requests for conferences, debates and master classes at important and recognized institutions.
In 2015, he was invited to develop his doctoral research at the University of Algarve, \u201cBiotope: Contemporary Biopolitics for the Citadel Interior\u201d, with Nicole Brenez as co-coordinator (professor at Paris3 Sorbonne Nouvelle University; curator of avant-garde screenings at Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que Fran\u00e7aise; senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France).
He is professor of Moving Image at the Department of Media Arts, HGK Karlsruhe University for Arts and Design, Karlsruhe, Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
