The exhibition As treze Marias<\/strong> is the result of an artistic residency carried out by students of the Social Artistic Practices subject of ESAD.CR, at Escola do Parque. The exhibition was based on research into the place \u2013 a primary school opened before the Estado Novo and closed in 2011, a binary space separated by male and female sexes.
The title of this exhibition, chosen by the students, refers to the Tr\u00eas Marias, icons of feminism with the publication of \u201cNovas Cartas Portuguesas\u201d (New Portuguese Letters) during the dictatorship, a symbol of the fight for freedom of expression and women’s rights.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

ARTISTIC RESIDENCY<\/strong>
APRIL 2ND UNTIL JUNE 4TH OF 2025
ESCOLA DO PARQUE . CALDAS DA RAINHA<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The artistic residency is divided into three stages: one of research based on the material and immaterial heritage of the place – a primary school inaugurated before the Estado Novo and deactivated in recent years, followed by a period of fieldwork, exploring various aspects of the construction of the collaborative work.
