Finding and Applying for Scholarships 


The Polytechnic of Leiria to improve student merit and motivation have defined a set of measures that will contemplate a reduction of the annual tuition fee program  to which you are applying to. Know more below.

 

  

What types of scholarships are available?

 

Are available for application  the following types of scholarships:

Merit Award

Incentive for Cooperation for Development 

AUIP Scholarship

 

Merit Award | Requisites and criteria

 

// Definition: A Merit Award  is a financial award that IPLeiria gives to international students based on academic records meaning that student will only have to pay 50% of tuition fee.

// Process: In the first phase of applications and after selection process, the Merit Award is given in descending order to those who present an application classification equal or greater than 14 values (on a scale from 0 to 20) and who have applied in the form. 

// Conditions for Granting: Students who beneficiate with a Merit Award shall perform the enrolment and pay for the first part of the tuition fees in accordance with the deadlines defined. If the student does not enrol loses the right to the Merit Award and the grant will be awarded to the next candidate on the list.

// Maintenance Conditions:  The maintenance of the merit award for subsequent years depends on the academic success of the student, defined by the possibility of completing the study cycle within the period of his / her normal duration taking into account the rules of enrollment, evaluation and year transition.

Application to undergraduate | You must submit certified academic transcripts with final GPA;

Application to Master | You must submit certified academic transcripts of your bachelor with final GPA;

Incentive Cooperation for Development| Requisites and criteria

 

// Definition: Incentive Cooperation for Development is a financial scholarship that IPLeiria gives to international students meaning that student will only have to pay 50% of tuition fee and the exemption from payment of enrolment fee, maintaining this incentive throughout the cycle of studies.

// Who can aplly: Incentive Cooperation for Development may be awarded to students from Portuguese-speaking countries in a situation of continuing studies ( different cycles) at Leiria Polytechnic or have submitted application under specific collaboration agreement .

// Documents needed: Applicants must fill in the application form in the lines below.  

Application to undergraduate | You must submit certified academic transcripts with final GPA;

Application to Master | You must submit certified academic transcripts of your bachelor with final GPA;

AUIP Scholarship Program  | Requisites and criteria

 

// Definition: The AUIP Scholarships Program is destined to students coming from associated institutions. There are 12 scholarships that covers 50% of master tuition fee as well as enrolment fee exemption for  international students. This incentive will continue throughout the course of the study cycle.

Scholarship Application Form

International students may apply to the Polytechnic of Leiria scholarships ( described above) during the 1st phase until april, 7 for bachelors and april, 24th for masters.
