Campaign for the production of medical face shields

 

Protecting healthcare professionals is essential to managing the pandemic. Face shields are personal protective equipment devices used by health workers.

Due to the context the Polytechnic of Leiria, in association with several health-care facilities and local companies, are joining forces to build and delivery face shield protection.

Local companies are offering lenses while  Laboratories and Research Centers of the Polytechnic of Leiria are 3D printing face shield frames.

Those who are willing to join can choose to do it in two ways: by printing in their 3D printer plastic frame for head support  accessing  file print specification or by joining Movimento Maker Portugal, lead by former student Bruno Horta. After printing it you may deliver it in an open box in a collection point below. The process does not involve any personal contact.

The collection points operate from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the following locations:
