Experimental Cinema and Eco-criticism

This session will focus on the relationship between experimental cinema and Eco-criticism. To this end, we will explore how cinema, or works with the moving image, can contribute to the current reflection on non-human and non-anthropocentric art forms. The main aim is to relate the aesthetic options of a selection of films to philosophical perspectives on the non-human and the potential of these visual experiences to challenge cognition and create new sensory and perceptual practices.
