OSSO FACILITIES IN THE VILLAGE OF S. GREGÓRIO, CALDAS DA RAINHA
After a visit to the village of São Gregório (with a local “guide”) the students will be led to create a new body of work, which will use photographic language to compose a coherent and appealing narrative.
PAULIANA VALENTE PIMENTEL (1975. Lisbon). As a visual artist, she has been exhibiting regularly since 1999. In 2005, she took part in the photography course of the Gulbenkian Creativity and Artistic Creation Programme. She was a member of the collective [Kameraphoto] from 2006 until its demise in 2014. She teaches authorial photography. Her first book “VOL I” (Pierre von Kleist) was published in 2009, “Caucase, Souvenirs de Voyage” (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation) in 2011, “Quel Pedra” (Camera Infinita) in 2018, “Narcisismo das Pequenas Diferenças” (Arquivo Municipal da Câmara de Lisboa) in 2019, and “Rub Al`Khali (Empty Quarter)” by Kioskzine in 2021. She also makes films. In 2015 she was awarded the Visual Arts Prize by the Portuguese Society of Authors. In 2016 she was nominated for the NOVO BANCO Photo Award. She was represented for 5 years at Galeria 3+1 Arte Contemporânea and 7 years at Galeria das Salgadeiras in Lisbon. She currently collaborates with international galleries. Some of her work belongs to private and institutional collectors.
