Fernando Galrito will be back at ESAD.CR to talk about drawing and his work.

Fernando Galrito began shooting on 16mm and 35mm film and making Super 8 films from a very young age. After studying film in France, he graduated in Anthropology and obtained an MA in Communication and Culture from ISCTE. He coordinated the Moving Image Center at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation between 1986 and 2005. In 2000, with the aim of creating a festival where all the arts meet, plus one more (the art of movement), he founded A MONSTRA | Lisbon Animation Festival, where he is still programmer and artistic director. He taught Animation and other moving image disciplines at ESAD.CR between 1999 and 2026. He is a visiting professor at several international universities. He makes animated films, documentaries and transdisciplinary projects that cross animation, theatre, dance and so-called new technologies, mainly for pleasure.
