common laboratory for experimentation and dialogue
The Common Laboratory for Experimentation and Dialogue (LCED) is a transdisciplinary space at ESAD.CR that promotes work with a diversity of materials.
The space is organized into work areas, arranged as follows: a manual construction and finishing work area, including workbenches, a digital printing and 3D prototyping area, a CNC machining area, a vacuum forming area, and also a sewing area.
The LCED provides a diverse set of support equipment for project development, namely manual and electric tools for cutting, grinding, modelling, and welding, large-format 3D printers, a ceramic 3D printing system, a CNC milling machine (CAD/CAM), vacuum forming equipment, and sewing machines, among others. The laboratory also allows for the borrowing of specific tools for use within an academic context.
