The Polytechnic University of Leiria is a member of the Regional University Network – European University (RUN-EU), an alliance of Higher Education Institutions committed to societal transformation, particularly with sustainable development.
RUN-EU is based on many management structures, including a Student Council.
STUDENT COUNCIL
What is the Role?
- The Student Council is here to ensure your voice is heard! If you’re passionate about Europe, enjoy engaging with different cultures, have the flexibility to travel, and love connecting with students from various European universities, this role is perfect for you.
- The Student Council acts as an advisory board, working closely with the RUN-EU management board to ensure students are at the heart of RUN-EU.
- From supporting student involvement to promoting inclusion and multiculturalism, the Student Council plays a key role in shaping dynamic mobility programs such as SAPs, COILs, MOOCs, BIPs, European degrees, and more.
How many members and what kind of activities will be done?
- At the regional level, the Student Council at the Polytechnic University of Leiria (IPLeiria) will bring together 15 passionate students, meeting every four months to review, advise, and shape the RUN-EU strategy, assess its achievements, and evaluate its impact on the institution.
- The Student Council will also organize an exciting annual student week, a vibrant celebration of multiculturalism and multilingualism. This event will serve as a unique platform to foster an international, diverse, and inclusive environment that brings students together from all corners of the world.
- Members will also meet annually in the RUN-EU Student Week, promoting multiculturalism and multilingualism with students from all RUN-EU member countries.
