Distance learning education must be accessible for all, student-centred and based on a collaborative approach to education.

Politécnico de Leiria focuses much of its much in ensuring the needs of all our students are met. That’s why the elearning software we use is Moodle 2.5.

We’re constantly reviewing, testing and updating our digital resources and software to comply with our goal of making higher education accessible for all.

Following a systematic review of different web conferencing software systems, Politécnico de Leiria has concluded that Big Blue Button is accessible to users with visual and/or hearing disabilities, as well as for users who only use the keyboard to navigate through websites.

For these reasons, Big Blue Button was included in our eLearning software resources.
