Student Welcome Guide

We are delighted that you have chosen to study at Politécnico de Leiria.

We’re a youthful and dynamic higher education institution founded in 1980. We’re managed and governed by a multidisciplinary team focused on the development of innovative and high-quality teaching and learning practices.

Outside lectures, we have all the support services and resources needed for your academic success. Our students are encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities that will improve their confidence, expand their professional network, help them develop new skills, and ensure they maitain a healthy lifestyle.

Enrolment and Registration

At Politécnico de Leiria, enrolment and registration processes are all done online, via the Student Portal. When you’ve officially enrolled, you will be able to obtain a proof of enrolment in the Student Portal. This will be necessary to hand over to other entities.

In this platform, you can also check your timetable, make payments, access a wide range of study programme resources, information, and activities, as well as access support.

At this point, you’ll be required to create a student card. This document is sometimes required to access some of our building and services.

during your first week

Learning Platform and Resources

You’ll get a student email account and access to free Wi-Fi across all campi. Our IT Services will be able to help you setting up your student email account. You’ll find all your curricular units at our students’ online workspace Moodle.

But during your first week you’ll discover so much more than learning. Our halls of residence, canteens, cafeterias, and all other facilities will be ready to give you a warm welcome.

SAPE is the Portuguese acronym for Student Support Services. We offer:

Individual and social life guidance – We can help you integrate and adapt to this new reality. We understand starting university life can also be stressful and anxious.
