Gender Equality, Non-Discrimination, and Inclusion Plan (IGNDI) – Polytechnic University of Leiria
The Polytechnic University of Leiria presents the new edition of the Gender Equality, Non-Discrimination, and Inclusion Plan (IGNDI) for the 2024-2028 period. This plan conducts an analysis of various strategic areas and proposes the adoption of different measures to combat and prevent inequality between men and women, specifically focusing on non-discrimination in access to working conditions and employment based on gender, parental protection and family support, work-life balance, prevention of various forms of workplace harassment, and the promotion and reflection on gender balance, diversity and equality, in academic and research fields.
This document introduces a new approach through a comprehensive operational plan with measures to be implemented within the academic community, particularly among staff and students.
The aim is to foster greater awareness in the organizational ecosystem regarding Gender Equality, Non-Discrimination, and Inclusion, encouraging an adaptation of the organizational culture to integrate the principle of equal treatment and inclusion in its practices.
