Applications Open for Master’s and TeSP Programmes with Merit Scholarship

Applications are now open for the 1st phase of admission to Master’s programmes and Professional Higher Technical Courses (TeSP) at the Polytechnic University of Leiria for the 2026/2027 academic year.
During this first application phase, the institution offers Merit Scholarships designed to encourage applications from high-achieving students, reinforcing the Polytechnic University of Leiria’s commitment to attracting international talent and promoting academic excellence.

For Master’s programmes, the Polytechnic of Leiria offers 10 programmes taught in English, providing international students with the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in a global and multicultural academic environment.

For Professional Higher Technical Courses (TeSP), taught in Portuguese, applications are also open, offering a practical and career-oriented pathway into higher education by combining academic learning with strong links to industry.

During the first application phase only, international students applying for the first time may apply for merit scholarships that recognise academic excellence and provide a 50% reduction in the annual tuition fee at the Polytechnic University of Leiria.

Students should start by choosing their programme, then register on the Inforestudante platform and submit their application; after that, they may apply for the merit scholarship here.

Deadline: The 1st application phase closes on March 31.
