Programme Introduction

The study cycle aims at developing skills that allow students to update, reflect, intervene and innovate in diverse educational contexts, taking into account differentiation, equity, transversality, quality and inclusion. The skills developed in this EC make it possible to reinforce the contribution to regional and national development, in an integrative, inclusive and quality strategy, which promotes educational success, serving both school networks and education and training establishments, non-formal and informal education , or national and international partners, providing new innovative opportunities for education training and research.
It aims to promote collaborations with other study cycles, with ongoing institutional projects and a close articulation with the Centro de Estudos em Educação e Inovação (CI&DEI), research unit of the school, through linking students to research projects in the field of education.

Programme
  • Build new knowledge related to the intervention in education and pedagogical innovation in formal and informal contexts;
  • Mobilize new knowledge in diverse educational contexts and enhanced by emerging digital technologies;
  • Improve research capacities in education and pedagogical innovation;
  • Provide differentiated and significant learning paths throughout the course and life;
  • Increase a responsible, reflective and critical awareness in the construction of your personal, social and professional identity;
  • Promote the analysis and interpretation of the school, its contexts and its education / training devices in the light of the theoretical contributions and needs of the environment;
  • Enhance collaborative work skills in addressing educational problems in diverse contexts.

Entry Requirements

The following can apply for access to the cycle of studies leading to this master’s degree:

a) Holders of a bachelor’s degree or legal equivalent;
b) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process;
c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as satisfying the objectives of the degree by the Technical-Scientific Council of the Escola Superior de Educação e Ciências Sociais;
d) Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the Technical-Scientific Council of the Escola Superior de Educação e Ciências Sociais.
