Management of Social Intervention Organizations
Management of Social Intervention Organizations
Programme Introduction
This Master focuses its contribution to regional and national development, in an integrative strategy of innovation and quality of social responses, promoting success in the direction and management of social intervention organizations, serving both the networks of IPSS, Misericordie, Cooperatives, Mutuals and Foundations and private social support establishments, as well as national and international partners, providing training and research opportunities in direction and management of organizations and social intervention projects, collaborations with other internal study cycles (eg. degrees in Social Work, Social Education, Human Relations and Organisational Communication), and with institutional projects and close articulation with the Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences (CICS.NOVA.IPLeiria).
This Master aims to deepen and develop the problematization and research skills of leaders of social intervention organizations. It aims to train professionals with competence to perform functions of direction and management of social responses, projects and third sector organizations, such as: institutions of social solidarity, cooperatives, mutual societies, foundations, mercies, associations and NGOs. This goal is appropriate to the educational, scientific and cultural project of the institution because ESECS, initially focused on the training of teachers, began, in 1993, to offer new higher education courses in the areas of social sciences, namely Human Relations and Organizational Communication, Social Work and Social Education. Following the growing impact of courses in the social sciences area in its training offer, the School of Education was renamed School of Education and Social Sciences.
